Carmel travelled to Monterey on Tuesday, October 23rd. With North Salinas hot on Monterey's heals for 2nd place in MTAL, the Lady Dores had to continue their winning trend. A scoreless first half put fear into the Lady Dores, realizing even a tie could ruin their chances of a CCS appearance. Maybe Varsity is a second half team, but they were able to put up three goals in the last half. Chelsea Persons scored first, followed by Christina Wood. Dominate as Center Half, Senior Roxy Grillo finally found the back of the net, sealing the 3-0 victory for Monterey.It has been a tough season for the JV team, going into Tuesday's game 1-6-0. After loosing to Carmel early in the season, 2-1, the JV Dores were motivated to get a "W" at home. Despite a valiant effort by all that played, the JV team pulled a scoreless tie.
